The Troubles of wanting to be rich

Well finally we went to see a rental property, one we`ve been waiting to see for about a year, one we or at least I thought "this will be the one"
Was it worth it, was it the shining epitamy of the pinnicle of properties?................ NO it was a , well lets be honest, a bit of a dump.
It only needs, new hard wood floors, after removing the old rotten damp plaster new plastering, painting, new windows, original wood work stripping and varnishing etc etc etc.
So what did we do? sensibly we left it, but, theres ALWAYS a but, now i`ve had a little chance to think about it.....
How much of the work could I do?, How much would it cost realistically?, would it be worth it? Would it be worth getting a survey done? all very good questions mostly without answers.
Perhaps the 1st thing to do is a business plan costing out, as best as possible, just how much it would cost and explaining where any profits, if any, would come from.
Going to go and think about it more
